The road west to the coast

Goa's about 560 kilometres from Bangalore, the truck running up NH48 to Hubballi and then turning west through the ghats down to the coast. It's a one-day drive in dry conditions, sometimes a second day depending on where in Goa you're headed and how the ghat's flowing. The distance is easy enough, the road down to the coast and the weather at the other end are what a Goa move is really planned around.

We pack for a highway either way, everything padded and boxed, and load a dedicated truck that runs straight to the coast. Yours alone, not a shared load filling up and dropping bits along the way. On a coastal run like this, that's what lets us hold a delivery date rather than hope for one.

Goa is a village-lane, monsoon-damp destination

Goa isn't a city of towers, it's houses and villas spread across villages, north around Mapusa, Assagao and Anjuna, the Panaji and Porvorim belt in the middle, and the quieter south below the river. Lovely to live in, less lovely for a big moving truck, because a lot of the approaches are narrow village lanes with tight turns. Where the survey flags it we bring the load the last stretch on a smaller vehicle, which on this route is more the rule than the exception.

Then there's the rain. Goa's monsoon is heavy and long, and even outside it the coast stays damp. So we waterproof the load properly and box the electronics and documents to come off the truck first at the other end, not last. If you're moving in the monsoon proper, say so, and we'll build extra covering and a bit of buffer into the plan.

Second-home moves have their own rhythm too, often a partial house rather than a full one, sometimes furniture going into a place that'll sit empty a while. We'll plan the pack and any storage around how you're actually using the place rather than treat it like a standard full shift.

Cars, bikes and the office move

The car and any bikes travel in dedicated carriers rather than on the household truck, cars enclosed and two-wheelers wrapped and strapped upright, each photographed for condition at both ends. Plenty of Goa moves come with a bike, it's that kind of place, and on a route this length the carrier can usually keep to the same date as the household goods.

Office relocations to the Goan side we run over a weekend where the building allows, packed by department. And if there's a gap before your Goa place is ready, or you want things held while a second home gets sorted, we store everything packed and listed and deliver when you say.

What it costs

The price turns on your home size, how much packing you want, the access at both ends and whether a vehicle's riding along, not on a flat per-kilometre rate. A full family move and a part-load into a second home are different jobs, so we survey first, on video or in person, and then put one figure in writing for the whole door-to-door move.

That number holds. What you approve is what you pay when it's unloaded in Goa, itemised on a GST invoice, no re-weigh and no mystery add-on. Optional transit insurance covers the run to the coast, and given the rain on this route it's worth a thought for a full house.
