In the smaller ones the building itself is rarely the difficulty. It's the road outside, which belongs to the towers around it as much as to you, and by nine in the morning there's usually a delivery van, a cab queue and somebody's cement load competing for the same twenty feet. Getting there at seven isn't us being dramatic about traffic, it's about being the first vehicle at your gate rather than the fourth.

There's one thing we'll always say straight, and it applies to every high-floor flat around here. If the service lift is out of order on your date, we'd rather move the date than carry a double-door fridge down eleven floors. It isn't safe for the crew and it isn't kind to your things, and no amount of paying extra makes it a good idea. So we check the lift's working the day before, every time.

The ORR wave, up close

The tech parks here empty tens of thousands onto the ORR twice a day and it seizes solid, so a loaded truck caught in it doesn't crawl, it parks. We load early and get the vehicle onto and off the ring road before the office crowd fills it, and that single decision saves more time than anything else on the day.

The basements and visitor bays in these complexes are busy too, so we confirm the standing and loading spot with the society ahead rather than hunt for it on the morning.

For a local hop within the belt, over to Bellandur, Kadubeesanahalli or Panathur, the drive is nothing, the whole job is the lift and the ORR timing at both ends.

The bigger complexes with a facilities desk make that coordination cleaner.
