Packers and movers in Arekere work one of the busier apartment stretches on Bannerghatta Road. Sitting between Bilekahalli and Hulimavu with the road running right through it, Arekere is mostly mid-rise and high-rise complexes these days, with a handful of older independent houses on the inner lanes off the main stretch. That mix means most moves here are lift-and-gate-pass jobs, which are the ones we can plan tightly.

The complex moves are fairly clean, most towers have a service lift, so once it's booked even a high floor empties quickly, and the crew works the lobby-to-lift line while the truck stands in the basement or the visitor bay. Where it gets fiddly is the older houses tucked behind the main road, narrower lanes, no lift, and a first or second-floor carry that wants proper hands. We survey for both, because on Arekere's main stretch the building is either a straightforward tower or a stair-carry house, not much in between.

One local quirk, the visitor parking and loading bays in a lot of these complexes are tight and often full, so we sort the standing spot with the society before the truck arrives rather than circling the basement looking for room.

The pile you're not taking with you

The complexes we're in most around Arekere are Esteem Enclave, SJR Luxuria and Paramount Pilatus on the larger gated side, along with Mahaveer Glacier, Shravanthi Meadows, Shravanthi Prima, Saptagiri Springs, Sai Suraksha Landmark, RR Roshan Platinum and Vandana Sai Nivas. Many are buildings people have lived in for years, and that produces something every move here has in common.

There's always a pile. The mattress that's done its time, the chair nobody sits on, the exercise bike, three cartons of school notebooks. It builds up in the corner while the packing happens and then it sits there, because a moving crew's job is to take what's coming and nobody's arranged for the rest.

Sort it out in advance and moving day gets noticeably calmer. Call the scrap dealer for the metal and the electronics and have him come the day before, not after. Anything still usable is worth offering to your building's group first, somebody's tenant always needs a bed frame. And check what your association allows, because leaving a mattress next to the bins is the sort of thing that gets noticed in a complex this size and remembered longer than it should be.

One more reason to deal with it early. Whatever's left in the flat when the crew finishes is what your landlord or the incoming family walks into, and a deposit conversation that starts with somebody else's rubbish in the balcony rarely goes your way.

Bannerghatta Road sets the clock

Everything about an Arekere move bends around Bannerghatta Road. It's slow through most of the day, worse at the office peaks, and a loaded truck that starts late just sits in it. So we pack early and get the vehicle onto the road ahead of the crush, which normally has the carrying mostly done before the road properly seizes.

The direction you're heading decides how much this matters. A move up toward BTM, Jayanagar or the city leans hard on BG Road and needs the early start. A shift staying local, over to Bilekahalli or Hulimavu, or down toward JP Nagar, is a gentler day with less riding on the traffic.

Inside the complexes there's the lift to think about too. Book it the day you fix your date, because the good morning slots go first, especially near month-end.

What an Arekere move costs

The ranges above are what local Arekere jobs come in at, ₹4,000 to ₹9,000 for a 1 BHK, ₹6,000 to ₹15,000 for a 2 BHK, and ₹9,000 to ₹25,000 for a 3 BHK, moving with the floor, the lift and how much packing you hand us. A short hop within the BG Road belt keeps you at the lower end. A move across the city climbs from there.

In a tower belt like this the price tracks access closely. A booked service lift empties a flat fast however full it is, while an older house with a stair carry and a long walk to where the truck can stand takes longer and needs more crew, and that's the line you see on the bill. Which is why we survey first, write one figure, and match it exactly on the GST invoice at the end.

Tower-to-tower, small moves, and storage

Plenty of Arekere moves don't leave the neighbourhood at all, they're upgrades within the same belt, sometimes tower to tower in the same complex as a family takes a bigger flat. Those still need a crew, materials and lift slots booked at both ends, so we price them as their own job rather than treating a short drive as a small move.

One thing that trips people up in these complexes is the move-out clearance.
