Living with the office and hospital traffic

Old Airport Road carries a heavy commuter and hospital load all day, and it doesn't really let up the way a residential lane does. The stretch past the offices near Kodihalli and the approach to the Marathahalli end clogs through the morning and again in the evening, and a loaded truck caught in it just burns time. So we load early and get the vehicle moving before the peak fills the road.

Being central-east has real upsides though. Connectivity here is good in every direction, so a move to Indiranagar, Domlur, Koramangala or out along the ORR is a short same-day job once the timing's right. The catch is that the road itself is slow, so even a nearby move wants an early start to keep the truck out of the crawl.

For the parts of the corridor where an older house sits on a tight inner lane, we plan the standing spot in advance, and where a full-size truck genuinely won't reach we shuttle from the door with a smaller tempo. We say so up front rather than discover it on the morning.

A short central hop keeps you low in the ranges, a move out to the far suburbs pushes it up.
