Bike Transport Services in Indiranagar
Ask anyone who lives here and they'll say parking is the defining problem of Indiranagar. Old houses set back behind compact gates, builder floors with one car slot for three flats, and commercial streets where every kerb is taken by eleven. A lot of residents solve it by keeping the bike somewhere else entirely, in a paid lot, a monthly slot in an office building's basement, or a friend's parking a few streets away.

Costs you nothing and there's no salesperson at the end of it.
That works fine until the bike has to go on a carrier. The crew isn't collecting from your gate, they're collecting from someone else's property, with someone else's rules about who can take a vehicle out. Sort that before the day and the pickup is quick.
Collecting from someone else's parking
Talk to whoever runs the lot. A paid parking operator, the security desk of an office building, or the owner of the house where you rent a slot. Tell them the bike is leaving on a carrier, the date and the time, and ask what they need. Usually it's your monthly pass or receipt and a copy of your ID.
If you won't be there, write a short note authorising the crew to take the bike, with the registration number and your phone number, and give a copy to the operator in advance. Security guards at commercial buildings are understandably wary of anyone wheeling a bike out who isn't the person who parks it.
Check the opening hours. Some paid lots and office basements don't open until the shops do, which in Indiranagar can be ten or later. That's a problem for an early pickup, so ask whether someone can open up earlier, or plan the collection for when they're open and accept the busier streets.
And settle the parking bill. An operator waiting on a month's fee is not going to be keen to let the bike go.
Where the carrier stands
Parking near 100 Feet Road and 12th Main is the whole puzzle. Before the shops and restaurants open there are a few places a vehicle can wait. After that there are none. So we agree the spot beforehand, often on a quieter residential street a short walk from the lot, and the bike is ridden over to it.
Metro pillars sit exactly where you'd want to park in some stretches, and the old trees and low cables on the residential stages rule out other spots. Our drivers know most of these streets, and a short video from you helps us choose.
If the bike is kept at home after all, in a narrow passage beside an old house or behind a compact gate, tell us. Getting it out of a tight gap past a car and a row of potted plants is slower than people think.
Where the lot is inside an office building, its security may want the carrier to stay outside the compound altogether. That's fine. The bike comes out to the road, and the carrier picks it up there.
Timing in Indiranagar
Early mornings are the calm hours here, before the cafes and offices open. If the lot can be opened early, a pickup at seven is easy. By eleven the commercial roads are full and the carrier will struggle to stop anywhere near.
Weekdays are often easier than weekends on the commercial streets, since weekend crowds arrive later but stay longer. On the residential stages, Sunday mornings are the quietest of all.
Old Airport Road and the roads towards the ORR slow down at the office peaks too, so an early start helps the carrier on its way out as well.
Scooty shifting from Indiranagar
Scooters are the bike most likely to be parked at home here, squeezed into a gap no car could use, beside the gate or under the stairs of an old house. They're light enough to lift past an obstacle if needed, which in Indiranagar is often the only way out.
If your scooter lives in a paid lot instead, the same permission note applies. Guards treat a scooter leaving with a stranger exactly as they treat a motorcycle, and a note signed by you settles it.
On the carrier it's treated the same as any bike, and it's usually a little cheaper to send. Before the day, clear the seat box and take off the phone holder, and if it has a basket or a hook for the market run, that comes off too.
Some Indiranagar scooters spend more time parked than ridden, given how short the trips around here are. If yours has been standing a while, check the tyres, as a soft one makes the walk to the carrier harder.
Bike transport from Indiranagar to other cities
Bikes leaving Indiranagar go everywhere, but the big cities are the easy ones. Chennai, Hyderabad and the main Kerala towns are on routes with vehicles leaving often. For somewhere off those routes, the bike may wait until a load is going that way, which you'll be told before you book. The arrival day is set before loading.
Within Bangalore, to Domlur, Koramangala, HAL or across the city, it's done the same day.
Let the tank run low beforehand, as any fuel is taken out before the bike goes on. Copies of the RC and your ID card are all the crew carries. The survey is free, and the figure that comes out of it, with GST, holds. If the household is moving too, the Indiranagar packers page covers it.
Old Airport Road and the roads towards the ORR slow at the office peaks, so even a carrier heading out of the state does better with an early start from Indiranagar.
