Bike Shifting in Iblur
Iblur gets a lot of people arriving from other cities. The towers by the junction suit someone starting a job on the ORR or in HSR, and very often the bike comes a few days after them on a carrier. Then one evening the call comes from the gate, the bike is here, and the crew is waiting for a signature.

That moment at the gate is the one most people rush. Spend ten unhurried minutes on it, with the photos taken at pickup open on your phone, and you'll know exactly what condition your bike arrived in before anyone drives away.
Before you sign, look properly
At pickup the crew photographed the bike from every side, existing scratches and dents included. Those photos are the reference. At delivery the bike is unwrapped in front of you and photographed again, and the job is simply to compare the two.
Start at the front and walk round it slowly. Headlamp and indicators, both mirrors, the levers and their tips, the tank, the side panels, the seat, the tail lamp and the number plate. Then crouch down and look at the engine casing, the footrests and the exhaust, which are the parts most likely to touch something in transit. A mark you find that isn't in the pickup photos needs to be pointed out now, while the crew is standing there.
Squeeze both brakes and turn the handlebar from one lock to the other. Roll it forward a little. Nothing should drag or grind, and the steering shouldn't feel notchy.
Look at the wheels as well. A rim that's picked up a knock, or a tyre that's gone soft on the journey, is easy to miss when you're staring at the paint. Tyres losing a bit of pressure over a long trip is normal and not damage, a bent rim is something else and should be noted.
If something is wrong, note it on the delivery papers before you sign and photograph it yourself. If you took the optional transit insurance, that note is what starts a claim, and a claim with the damage written down at the gate is far easier than one raised a week later.
Where the bike is delivered in Iblur
The towers here are tall and gated, and a carrier doesn't go into the basement. It stops at the gate or a visitor bay and the bike is unloaded there. Visitor bays on this stretch of the corridor fill fast, so we'll try to agree a spot with your society beforehand, and it helps if you've told security the bike is coming.
If you've only just moved in, you might not be on the resident list at the gate yet. Security in the bigger blocks can be strict about letting a vehicle in for someone they don't recognise, so drop by the desk the day before with your flat number and the bike's registration. It saves a carrier idling at the boom barrier while somebody rings upstairs.
The approach matters too. The junction where the ORR and Sarjapur Road meet is as slow as anywhere at the peaks, and the obvious way into some blocks is the jammed one. We plan which side to come in from, and a delivery in the late morning or on a Sunday is usually smoother than one at six in the evening.
Do the check in good light. If the delivery runs late and the bay is dim, use your phone torch on the tank and the panels and take your time, nobody will mind.
Scooter shifting into a new flat
Scooters arrive here as often as motorcycles, usually the bike someone used for short trips at home. The check is the same but quicker, mirrors, the front apron and the side panels being the places that most often pick up a scuff. A scooty travels with the same photo record, padding and straps as any bike and usually costs a little less.
Look under the seat once it's open. It should be as empty as it was at pickup, because the storage was cleared then.
Bike transport into Iblur from another city
Most of the bikes we deliver here have come from Chennai, Hyderabad or the Kerala cities, all of which see regular carriers. From a smaller town it can take longer for a vehicle to fill, and we'll tell you that when we quote. Either way, you get a committed delivery date before the bike is loaded.
The collection end is just as important as the delivery. Make sure whoever hands the bike over at home is there for the pickup photos, and ask them to send you a copy, those are what you'll be comparing against at the Iblur gate.
Papers travel as copies, the RC and the owner's ID, while you keep the originals. The price is fixed in writing after a free survey, GST shown.
After the crew has gone
The fuel was drained before loading, so the bike will need some before it goes anywhere. Push it to the nearest pump or bring a small can, and check the tyre pressures while you're there.
Put back anything you took off before it travelled, the mirrors if they came off, the phone mount, the top box. Doing that after the check rather than before keeps any new mark easy to spot.
If the household is coming to Iblur as well, the Iblur packers page covers the flat.

Bike and Scooty Shifting in Iblur, answered
Distance and route matter most. You'll get one firm figure in writing, with GST, after a free survey at the collection end.
Lights, mirrors, levers, tank, panels, seat, engine casing and exhaust, compared with the pickup photos. Then test the brakes and steering.
Point it out to the crew, note it on the delivery papers before signing, and photograph it yourself.
Please don't, a mark noticed after the crew leaves is much harder to settle. The check takes ten minutes.
Yes. Scooters get the same care and usually cost a little less to send.
Yes, Hyderabad is a regular route. The delivery date is fixed before the bike is loaded.
At your tower's gate or a visitor bay. Carriers don't go into basements.
Most likely it's out of fuel, since the tank is drained before loading. Add some and try again.
It's optional. For a newer or expensive bike it's worth asking about, and the note at delivery is what any claim relies on.
Yes, if you tell us who. Make sure they have the pickup photos to check against.
It can. Give the gate your flat number and the bike's registration the day before and it goes smoothly.
Usually not, tyres lose a little pressure over a long trip. Pump them up at the fuel stop. A bent rim is different and should be noted before you sign.
