Distance counts here, unlike in the city
For most of the areas we cover, the distance driven barely affects a local move — the job is decided by stairs and carries. Out here it's different. A shift into Kollam city is a genuine run, and the crew has to travel to reach you before any work starts.
That gets shown in the quote rather than buried. We'd rather you saw the travel component and understood it than found a number that looked oddly high with no explanation attached. We also plan the day around it: the vehicle and crew get positioned early so the working hours start at your door rather than being spent getting there.
For a shift that stays local within the Kundara area, none of that applies and the job is a short, comfortable one.
The same arithmetic works in your favour for anything leaving the state. From here a dedicated truck can load and get onto the highway without first crawling through Kollam city, which on an intercity move is time and fuel that would otherwise be spent going nowhere useful. It is one of the few situations where being further out is the cheaper position rather than the more expensive one.
Space, and what it's worth
The genuine advantage here is room. Larger plots mean somewhere to stand the truck, somewhere to stage a load properly, and a crew that can work in continuous runs rather than in awkward bursts around parked cars and passing traffic.

Much of the housing is independent and a good share of it has been in the same hands a long time. That means volume — houses that have been lived in for decades hold considerably more than the room count implies, and a fair amount of it is heavy wooden furniture that predates flat-pack entirely.
Those pieces want time rather than force. Anything that comes apart safely is dismantled properly, wrapped, and put back together at the other end, with fittings bagged and taped to the piece they came off. Rushing that is how a joint splits and a fifty-year-old cabinet stops being one.
It's also worth an honest hour deciding what's actually coming with you. You pay to move volume, and in a long-settled house a surprising share of what fills a truck is furniture nobody has used in years.
