The trick is in the loading order. A bike squeezed in among cartons and a dining table, or leaned against a wardrobe, is a bike that arrives with a mark on it. Done properly, it goes on last, stands in its own strapped space at the back, and comes off first at the other end before anything else is touched.
Last on, first off
At the old address everything else is loaded first. Once the furniture and boxes are secured and tied off, the bike is photographed, wrapped, wheeled up the ramp into the space left for it at the tailgate, and strapped upright on its own. Nothing goes in front of it, beside it or on top of it.
At the new tower, the reverse. The bike comes off before a single carton is moved, and goes straight to the basement or wherever you've been told it should park. That way it's out of the way of the crew carrying furniture to the lift, and it isn't standing in a loading bay for three hours.
Keep the bike's key separate from the household keys on the day. When everything is being handed over at once, a bike key on the same bunch as the old flat's keys has a way of ending up with the landlord. A labelled envelope is enough.
This only works if the space for it is planned at the survey. Tell us about the bike when we come to look at the flat, not on moving morning, and we'll size the truck with room for it.
When the bike should travel separately
Sometimes it makes more sense to send the bike on its own. If the household is going into storage while a handover slips, which happens in Balagere's new projects, the bike may be better delivered on its own once your parking bay is ready. If the household truck is heading somewhere the bike isn't, it obviously goes separately too.
And if the bike is a big, heavy motorcycle, a bike carrier may simply be the better vehicle for it. We'll tell you which way makes sense when we see the flat and the bike.

Timing can be separate too. Some families want the bike in Balagere a day before the furniture, so whoever arrives first can ride to the shops for the things a new flat always turns out to need. That's a separate small trip on the same booking.
Big townships and the shared gate
Sobha Golden Quadrilateral and Sobha Sentosa are large enough that the walk from a lift lobby to the loading point can be long, and their move-in gate is shared by several towers. On a busy weekend there's a queue. The facilities desk will want the truck booked into a slot, and the bike should be mentioned on that booking so security knows it's part of the household.
In the smaller buildings, Disha Parkwest, Galaxy The Trillium and the like, there's no desk, just a caretaker or manager. Confirm the day before that the basement and the lift are free at the time you need.
First move-ins in Balagere also come with snag lists. If your flat has electricians or plumbers in on the day, their vehicles may be in the visitor bays, so ask the desk to keep a spot free for the truck's arrival.
New basements here often haven't allotted bays yet. Ask where two-wheelers go before the day, so the bike has a place to stand when it comes off first.
Scooter shifting with the household
A scooter is even easier to fit into a household load. It's short and light, so it takes very little of the tailgate space, and on its own it usually costs a little less to move than a motorcycle. It gets the same treatment, photographs, padding on the mirrors and handlebar, wrap, and straps holding it upright.
Families often have both, a motorcycle for the commute and a scooter for the school run. Two bikes on one household truck is fine with enough space planned at the back. Each gets its own photos.
