Bike Shifting in Hennur
Hennur households rarely have just the one bike. There's the motorcycle someone rides down Hennur Road to Manyata every morning, and there's a scooty that belongs to a spouse, a teenager or a parent, and when the family moves the two don't always end up in the same place. One goes with the family to Hyderabad, the other stays behind with a sibling in Kalyan Nagar, or heads off to a college town on its own.

We treat that as one collection and two deliveries. Both bikes come out of the villa or the tower on the same morning, each gets its own condition photos and its own folder of papers, and each one has its own delivery date that we commit to before loading. What we try hard to avoid is the two of them being booked separately by two people in the house who each assumed the other had done it.
Two bikes, one house, two addresses
The first thing we ask is simple. Where is each bike actually going, and who will be there to take it? It's surprising how often the family is sure about the motorcycle and still undecided about the scooter, and it's much easier to sort that over a phone call than with the crew standing in the driveway.
Once both destinations are clear we quote them as one job with two lines. The local one, say across to HBR Layout or Kammanahalli, is a short run that finishes on the same day. The out-of-town one goes on a carrier heading that way, with its own committed date. You see both on a single written quote and pay against one GST invoice.
Keys get mixed up more than anything else in a two bike move. We tag each key to its bike when we collect, and it helps a lot if the spare keys are put in two separate envelopes with the number written on the front. Nobody wants to be posting a scooter key to Hyderabad a week later.
Collecting from a Hennur villa or a tower
The villa communities here are the easy end for bikes. In Ramky Serene Woods, Ferns Meadows or Prestige Augusta Golf Village the vehicle can usually come close to the door, so two bikes are walked a few metres and loaded. The only thing to check is whether the community wants a gate pass for a vehicle leaving with a resident's bikes on it, most do, and the facility office can raise it in a few minutes.
The towers are a bit more involved. At Purva Palm Beach, Salarpuria Sattva Luxuria or Purva The Waves both bikes sit in a basement, and the carrier waits outside or in a visitor bay because the ramp isn't made for it. Some of the newer towers have very few visitor bays, so we agree a standing spot with security before the day rather than looking for one with two bikes waiting.
And if one bike lives at the villa while the other is still parked at an office or a relative's place, that's fine. Tell us both pickup points and we'll plan the order.
Scooter shifting for the second bike
In most of the two bike households we see, the second one is a scooter. It gets exactly the same treatment as the motorcycle, the layers of wrap, the padding at the handlebar and mirrors and the strapping on the vehicle, and it doesn't share space with the bigger bike, each one stands in its own place.
Scooty shifting on its own also tends to cost a bit less than moving a motorcycle the same distance, it's lighter and fits more easily, so on a two line quote the scooter is usually the smaller number. Empty the boot before the day. In a family scooter that's often school stuff, a raincoat and a shopping bag nobody remembers putting there.
Bike and two wheeler transport from Hennur, one local and one out of town
Hennur Road and the ORR junctions are slow at office peaks in both directions, so we load early, before the commute builds, and the bike headed out of the city gets onto the ORR and away from the north-east without crossing the centre. The airport side is close too, which helps for anything going north.
For the one leaving Bangalore, carry a copy of the RC and the owner's ID in a folder that goes with that bike, not with the other one. If the bike is in a parent's or spouse's name, add a sale receipt or a short signed letter from them. Two bikes means two folders, and it's worth checking each folder against the number plate before the crew leaves.
The fuel in both is drained before loading, so don't fill either tank in the last week. A smaller town at the far end may mean a longer wait for a carrier heading there, and we'll be upfront about that when we quote.
If the household is moving with them
When the family is moving house too, one or both bikes can ride on the household vehicle and sit inside that quote. Our Hennur packers page covers the house move itself, the lifts, the villa loads and the timing on Hennur Road.

The bike can ride on the same vehicle as your household and go on the same quote. The Hennur moving page covers the rest of the move.

Bike and Scooty Shifting in Hennur, answered
Each bike is priced on where it's going, so a local hop costs far less than an intercity run, and a scooter usually less than a motorcycle. You get both on one written quote after a free survey, on a single GST invoice.
Yes. Both are collected on the same morning, photographed and wrapped separately, and each goes on the vehicle heading its way with its own committed delivery date.
Yes, and in most two bike homes here the second bike is a scooty. Same wrapping and strapping as a motorcycle, usually a slightly lower price for the same route.
That's one of the most common versions of this job. The local one is delivered within Bangalore on the day, and the other goes on a carrier to Hyderabad on its own date.
No, the basement ramps aren't made for it. The crew brings the bikes up and loads them outside or in a visitor bay, at a spot agreed with security beforehand.
Usually, yes. The vehicle can often come close to the house, so the bikes are only walked a few metres. Most communities still want a gate pass raised for it.
A copy of the RC, a copy of her ID, and a short signed note from her if she isn't the one handing it over. Keep that folder with that bike, separate from the other one's.
Early morning, before Hennur Road and the ORR junctions fill with office traffic. Weekends near month-end get busy, so book those a little ahead.
Each key is tagged to its bike at collection. If you put the spares in two envelopes marked with the number plates, nothing ends up in the wrong city.
One or both can, if they're headed the same way as the household. They'll be added to that quote rather than booked separately.
