Bike Transport Services in Junnasandra
Junnasandra, off Sarjapur Road between Haralur and Kasavanahalli, is full of apartment towers and full of riders. Weekends here mean early starts towards Nandi Hills, Coorg or the coast. And some riders plan something bigger: a ride along the Konkan coast, through the Western Ghats, or up into the Himalayas.

Starting a long ride from Bangalore means days of riding just to reach the interesting part. A popular alternative is to send the bike ahead by carrier to a city nearer the start, fly in, and ride out from there. It takes a little coordination, and it's worth getting right.
Sending the bike ahead
Pick your starting city and work backwards. Pune and Mumbai are common starts for the Konkan coast and the Western Ghats. Goa works for the southern coast. Northern cities such as Delhi or Chandigarh are the gateway to the hills.
Book the carrier with your flight in mind. Ask for the expected arrival date when you book, and plan to land after the bike does. Arriving before it, with nowhere to keep your riding gear, is not how anyone wants to start a trip.
You need someone, or somewhere, to receive the bike at the far end. A friend, a relative, a hotel with secure parking or a garage that has agreed to hold it all work. Confirm with them in writing, and give us their phone number.
Ride plans built around Pune, Mumbai or Delhi are the easiest to support. Starting from a small coastal or hill town is possible, but give it extra lead time before your flight.
If you're riding with friends, coordinate the carriers too. Several bikes going to the same start city on the same day can be booked together, which keeps your group's arrival dates in line.
Getting the bike ready for the ride
Service the bike before it leaves Junnasandra. You want new oil, a fresh chain adjustment, checked brakes and good tyres, done by a mechanic you know, rather than in an unfamiliar town on the first morning of your trip.
Take off the luggage racks and panniers only if they're quick to refit. Otherwise, tell us they're staying on and the crew will pad them. Soft luggage and tank bags should come off and travel with you.
Carry the riding gear yourself: helmet, jacket, boots, gloves. None of it should travel loose on a carrier.
Pack a small kit in your flight luggage: the bike's key, a spare, a tyre-pressure gauge and a few basic tools. Your first job on arrival is a walk-round and a check, before you load up and leave.
Check the bike's papers before it goes. On a long ride across states, traffic police check documents often. The originals should be with you, along with valid insurance and a current pollution certificate.
If you've fitted auxiliary lights or a loud exhaust, check what's allowed in the states you're riding through. That's a question for the rider, not the carrier, but it's best answered before the trip.
Collecting from a Junnasandra tower
Most riders here live in gated apartment complexes with basements. The carrier stops at the gate or outside on Sarjapur Road's side streets, and the bike comes up from the basement. Tell security the date, and give them our number.
Early mornings are best. Sarjapur Road clogs quickly on weekdays, and a carrier heading out of the city wants to be moving before the office traffic.
The crew photographs the bike all round before wrapping. For an expensive touring bike, point out any custom parts and existing marks so they're in the record.
Bring the envelope down with you: photocopies of the RC and your ID. Riding on long trips, you'll want the originals with you anyway.
If the tower's basement ramp is steep and your bike is heavy, mention it at booking. The crew will bring extra hands to walk it up safely.
Scooter shifting for a riding trip
Some Junnasandra riders choose a gentler trip: the scooter sent to Goa for a month of beach roads and village markets. It's cheaper to send than a touring motorcycle and gets identical protection.
Service the scooter too, and check its tyres. Coastal roads in the monsoon and loose sand near beaches are harder on a small scooter than Bangalore's tarmac.
Clear the seat box before pickup. On arrival, it's the obvious place to keep a rain jacket and a water bottle.
A scooter on a coastal trip appreciates a good lock and a cover. Beach-town parking is casual, and a cover keeps sand and salt spray off the seat and switches.
If you're renting a place by the sea for a month, ask the owner whether there's a covered spot for the scooter, and whether the gate is locked at night.
Bike transport back from the end of the ride
Long rides often end far from where they started. If your trip finishes in another city, the bike can come back to Junnasandra by carrier while you fly home. Book the return from the end point once you know your dates.
Arrange who will hand the bike over at the end: a hotel, a friend or a garage. Leave them the key, the papers envelope and our number. The return trip is quoted on its own.
Run the tank low before each leg; fuel never travels. Both trips get a free survey and a written GST-inclusive quote. And if you're moving out of Junnasandra rather than just riding away, our Haralur packers page handles the flat.
Some riders don't come back at all. The trip becomes a move, and the bike stays in the new city. That's fine; you only book the return if you need it.
If you're unsure whether you'll want the bike back by carrier or ride it home, decide at the end of the trip. Plenty of riders who planned to ride back are happy to send the bike home once the trip has used up their energy.
