Bike Shifting in Channasandra
Channasandra is still being built. A finished tower on one street, an active site on the next, a plot that hasn't broken ground behind it, and a fine layer of cement dust over everything parked outside. A bike that lives here for a few months ends up a single colour, and that colour isn't the one on the RC.

That matters on moving day for one reason. Before a bike is wrapped it's photographed, scratches and dents included, so that at delivery you can compare it against how it left. Under a coat of site dust half of those marks simply don't show. Wash it the day before and the photos are a real record. Leave it and they're pictures of dust.
Why a clean bike gets a fairer condition record
The photographs aren't a formality. They're what you look at when the bike comes off the vehicle at the other end, and what you point to if something isn't right. A scratch that was already on the tank, but hidden under grime at pickup, can look like new damage at delivery. Equally, a fresh mark can disappear into the dust in a photo and be impossible to prove later.
So the ask is simple. Give the bike a proper wash a day before collection, enough to see the paint, the panels and the lights. A bucket and a cloth will do. You don't need a service-centre polish.
Pay attention to the lights and the mirrors while you're at it. Headlamp lenses and indicator covers pick up a film that hides hairline cracks, and mirror glass is easy to chip without noticing. Those are exactly the small things people argue about after a long trip, so it's worth them being visible on day one.
If you can't, the crew will wipe down the main surfaces before taking photos, and we'll note on the record that the bike was dusty. That's honest, it's just less useful to you than a clean start.
Getting out of a half-built street
Road quality in Channasandra changes from one street to the next. One is wide and freshly laid, the next is rubble and ruts with a mixer truck parked across half of it, and a few lanes go to slush the moment it rains. A carrier won't attempt the bad ones, and shouldn't.
When you book we'll ask you to walk to your gate and pan the phone down the lane, so we can pick a point where the carrier can stand on firm ground. The crew wheels the bike there. If a building site's trucks block the route on weekdays, a Sunday pickup is usually the cleaner option.
Mixer trucks and earth movers are the other thing to watch. On a weekday they come and go from the sites all morning, and a carrier waiting at the end of a lane can find itself boxed in. If we know which sites are active near you, we'll pick a spot out of their way.
In a just-occupied tower, check with the society office which gate the bike should leave by. Rules in new buildings change as the association finds its feet, and the gate that was fine last month may be the construction gate now.
Scooter shifting in a dusty new layout
Scooters suffer most from the dust because there's so much flat plastic to cover. The floorboard, the front apron, the area under the seat, all of it collects a fine grey film that hides small cracks in the panels. Wash those surfaces in particular before pickup, and open the boot and wipe that out too while you're at it.
The scooter is then handled exactly like a motorcycle, layers of wrap, padding at the mirrors and handlebar, strapped so it stands upright by itself. Because it's lighter, scooty shifting is usually slightly cheaper than moving a heavier bike the same distance.
Bike and two wheeler transport out of Channasandra
Bikes heading out of Bangalore from here join the highway through Whitefield and Hoskote without touching the city centre. Hyderabad and Chennai are the most common destinations and both run often, Kerala routes are regular as well. If the destination is a small town, a carrier going that way may take a little longer to fill.
Within the belt, Hoodi, Kadugodi and Whitefield are a few minutes away. For a bike that's ridden daily, riding it across is perfectly sensible and we'll tell you so. A carrier makes more sense when the other address is far across the city or the bike isn't one you'd trust on a long ride.
Before any long trip run the tank low, since loading means draining it. Slip a photocopy of the RC and of the owner's ID into a folder that goes along, and hang on to the originals yourself. Our survey costs nothing, the figure comes in writing with GST on it, and you'll know the delivery day before anything is strapped down.
First move-ins and the household
Many Channasandra bike moves happen alongside a first move-in to a new flat. In that case the bike can be part of the household load and the same bill, and the household side is set out on our Channasandra packers page.

Bike and Scooty Shifting in Channasandra, answered
Distance and bike type decide it. A short hop to Hoodi is a small job, Hyderabad or Chennai a larger one, and a scooter normally a little less than a motorcycle. One firm written price on GST after a free survey.
It isn't compulsory, but it makes the condition photos far more useful. Under site dust, existing scratches don't show, and new ones are hard to prove.
The crew wipes the main surfaces before photographing it and notes that it was dusty. It's still recorded, just less clearly.
Yes, plenty. A scooty travels just as a motorcycle does and tends to be a touch cheaper. Do clean the floorboard and the front apron first, those are the places site dust hides a crack.
If the road is firm, yes. If not, it waits on the nearest good road and the bike is wheeled out. Show us the lane on a video call when you book.
Yes, Hyderabad is one of our most frequent routes. The carrier leaves through Whitefield and Hoskote.
Yes. The Kerala runs are regular, though a smaller town may mean waiting a bit longer for a carrier.
Compare the bike with the pickup photos before signing. If something's new, point it out there and then.
Not once it's wrapped. The point of washing first is the photos, so the record shows the bike's actual condition before the layers go on.
Yes, it's optional and priced on the value you declare.
Yes, and in Channasandra Sunday is often easier because the building sites are quieter and their trucks aren't blocking the lanes.
