Bike Shifting in Brookefield
A transfer letter lands, and suddenly a Brookefield household has a relieving date, a new city and about three weeks to sort everything. The flat gets the attention, the bike gets left for later, and then it's the night before the truck and nobody has asked whether it's going with the furniture, going ahead, or being ridden off by a colleague.

Put in the two addresses and the size of the home. You get a worked-out range on screen, itemised the same way the final quote will be — and nobody rings you for it.

InstantWhere are you moving?
Costs you nothing and there's no salesperson at the end of it.
We'd rather settle that early. The bike is the easiest thing in the house to plan for, and if your employer is paying for the move there's usually a form somewhere that wants it listed as its own line. Sort it on the first call and it stops being one of the forty things on the list.
Planning the bike around a transfer
Three choices, really. The bike can travel with the household on the same vehicle, it can go ahead on its own so it's waiting in Hyderabad or Pune when you land, or it can follow a few days later once you've found out where it'll park. All three work. What changes between them is the date we commit to, and which end of the move you spend a week without a bike.
Most people transferring out of Brookefield keep riding to the office right up to the relieving date. That's fine. Book the pickup for the evening of your last day or the next morning and use it until then, with the tank running low as you go.
If the employer is covering the cost, tell us at the survey. You'll get a written quote on GST with the bike shown separately from the household, which is usually what a relocation desk wants to see before it approves anything.
Getting out of the society
Brookefield's older and newer projects run their exits differently. At Prestige Sunrise Park and Sobha Lotus the desk will issue a pass and the routine is well practised. Closer to the office side, in The Residences at Brigade Tech Gardens or Salarpuria Sattva Knowledge Court, building management runs the gate, and their rules are firmer but you get a clear answer with one call.
In either case, mention the bike when you apply for the move-out pass. A household exit that lists furniture and cartons but not a motorcycle can lead to a guard stopping the bike at the gate and asking for the owner, who by then is often on the way to the airport.
The carrier itself loads outside the gate or in a visitor bay. The bike comes up from the basement with the crew.
Older mid-segment blocks on the inner roads, the Sterling and Sumadhura buildings among them, tend to be less formal. A word with the manager the day before is normally enough, though it's still worth leaving the bike's number with the watchman so he isn't surprised when someone other than you wheels it out.
Scooter shifting for the second rider in the family
Transfer moves often include a scooter as well, the one a spouse uses for school pickups or the market. It goes on the same plan with its own condition photos, wrapped and strapped exactly like the motorcycle and usually priced a little lower because it's lighter.
Both bikes need their own copy of the RC in the paperwork folder. If one is in a spouse's name and they won't be at the handover, a short signed note from them covers it.
Bike and two wheeler transport from Brookefield to the new city
Hyderabad, Chennai and Pune are where most Brookefield transfers seem to go, and from this side of Bangalore the carrier heads out through Hoskote without fighting the city centre. Chennai and Hyderabad run often enough that a bike doesn't wait long for space. Delivery is to the new address, or to the company guest house if that's where you'll be for the first fortnight.
Moving between states brings up re-registration. That's something you deal with at the RTO in the new state, it isn't part of the transport, but keep the copies and the originals separate so nothing goes missing in the shuffle.
Transit insurance is optional and priced on the value you declare. Worth a thought if the bike is new or the employer's policy asks for it.
One thing that trips up transfers more than you'd expect is the receiving end. If you're still in a hotel when the bike arrives, someone has to take it in and there has to be somewhere to put it. A colleague at the new office, a relative in the city, the guest house manager, anyone works, as long as we have their name and number when we book and they know to look the bike over against the pickup photos before signing.
The rest of the house
The household side of a Brookefield transfer, lifts, gate passes and the ITPL traffic, is on our Brookefield packers page. If both are moving, it's one survey, one quote.
