Bike Shifting in Singasandra
Selling a bike online from Singasandra often ends with a buyer who isn't in Bangalore. Someone in Mysuru or Chennai or Kochi likes the listing, the price is agreed over a few calls, and now there's a practical question neither of you thought about at the start. How does the bike actually get to them?
Price your Bangalore move before anyone calls you.
Put in the two addresses and the size of the home. You get a worked-out range on screen, itemised the same way the final quote will be — and nobody rings you for it.

InstantWhere are you moving?
Costs you nothing and there's no salesperson at the end of it.
A carrier is the usual answer. We collect the bike from you, photograph it in front of you, and deliver it to the buyer with a record of its condition that you can both see. What needs care is the order things happen in, who pays, and which papers travel with it.
Sort the deal before the bike moves
The safest order is money first, then the bike. Once the buyer has paid in full, or whatever you've both agreed, the bike is booked for collection. Sending a bike before payment and hoping for the best is how sellers end up chasing strangers on the phone, and nobody wants that.
Agree who books and pays for the transport too. Sometimes the buyer covers it as part of the price, sometimes the seller does to close the deal. Either is fine but decide before the survey, so the quote goes to the right person.
If the buyer wants to see the bike before paying, a video call works well. Walk round it slowly in daylight, start it, show the odometer, the tyres and any marks you mentioned in the listing. Buyers in another city can't kick the tyres, so the more honest the video is, the less there is to argue about at delivery. Some sellers send the same clip to us at booking, which doubles as the survey.
Once that's done, write the receipt. Date, price, the registration number, both names and both signatures, even if the buyer signs a scanned copy. That receipt travels with the bike, and it's also what explains why a bike registered to you is going to someone else's address.
Papers, and the transfer that comes later
For the trip, the folder needs a copy of the RC, a copy of your ID, the sale receipt and a short note from you saying the bike has been sold to the named buyer and is being sent to them. Keep the original RC until the paperwork with the buyer is done in whatever way you've both agreed.
Transferring ownership is between you, the buyer and the transport department. We don't handle it and can't advise on the forms, but we'd say this much: don't let it drift. Until the transfer goes through, the bike is still in your name on paper, and that's worth closing off properly.
If the RC still shows a bank's name from an old loan, deal with that before you list the bike. Buyers in another city are understandably nervous about anything that looks unfinished.
Collecting from a Singasandra layout
No vehicle can stop on Hosur Road itself, it's a fast highway with no shoulder worth the name. So we load from the service road or, more often, the inner layout lane your building sits on. The surveyor works out the standing spot first, and the bike is ridden or wheeled to it.
Pickup timing is about the two chokepoints either side of you, Silk Board one way and the Electronic City stretch the other. An early collection before the office rush keeps the carrier moving whichever way it's headed.
Be there for the photos if you can, and if the listing promised anything extra, a second key, a cover, a phone mount, hand those over at the same time, packed and labelled with the buyer's name. They show the bike's condition at the moment it left you, scratches and all, and they're the best protection a seller has if the buyer later says a mark wasn't in the listing. Send the buyer a copy as soon as you get them.
Scooty shifting to a buyer
Scooters change hands this way often, especially when someone leaves a PG in this area and sells the scooty rather than taking it home. On the carrier it gets padding round the bars and mirror stems, layers of wrap and straps that keep it standing, after the condition photos. It's usually the cheaper of the two to send.
Empty the storage under the seat completely, and check the glovebox if it has one. The buyer doesn't want your old parking stubs and you probably don't want them reading them.
Bike and two wheeler transport to the buyer's city
Buyers in Chennai or Hyderabad are easy, there's traffic to both all the time, and Kerala's cities are regular too. A buyer out in a small town might be waiting a while longer for something going their way, which we'd rather tell you both upfront than have them chasing you for updates. The date we commit to is set before the bike goes on.
At the far end the buyer receives the bike, checks it against the pickup photos and signs. If the street is too narrow for a carrier, it stops on a wider road and the bike is wheeled the last part. The fuel will have been drained before loading, so they'll want a little ready.
Whoever's paying gets the price in writing after a free look at the bike, GST itemised on the bill. And if it turns out it's you leaving Singasandra rather than just the bike, the packers page for the area handles the household.

Bike and Scooty Shifting in Singasandra, answered
The buyer's city decides most of it. We give one written figure with GST after a free survey, to whichever of you is paying.
Yes. Just tell us at booking who the quote and invoice should go to.
Copies of the RC and your ID, the sale receipt, and your note naming the buyer. Originals stay with you.
No, that's between you, the buyer and the transport department. We move the bike, nothing more.
Yes, Chennai is a frequent route and the delivery date is fixed before loading.
Yes, the same way, and it usually costs a little less than a motorcycle.
The pickup and delivery photos settle it. That's why both of you should see them.
It's better if you are, for the photos. If you can't be, someone you trust can hand it over with your written permission.
On the service road or your layout lane, never the highway itself. We plan the spot at the survey.
We'd advise against it. Book once the payment you agreed has come through.
Tell us straight away. Bringing the bike back or sending it somewhere else is a fresh trip and is quoted as one.
Yes, a video call in daylight is the usual way, and the same clip can serve as our survey.
