Car Transport Services in Bellandur

Bellandur's tower basements hold a fair number of cars that don't love ramps. Sporty hatchbacks with a front lip, saloons with low bumpers, the occasional car someone has lowered or fitted with a body kit. In daily life the owner knows to take speed breakers at an angle. On moving day, the car has to go up a carrier's ramp.

Done carelessly, that's where a front bumper gets scraped. Done properly, it's a non-event. The difference is mostly in knowing about the car before the day, so the crew brings the right approach and doesn't discover the problem with the car halfway up the ramp.

Tell us what's been changed

At booking, give us the make and model, and then anything that's different from how it left the showroom. Lowered springs or coilovers, a front splitter or lip, side skirts, a larger rear diffuser, low-profile tyres on big wheels, an aftermarket exhaust that hangs lower than the original.

Even on standard cars, some models sit low at the front. If you've ever scraped on a speed breaker or a basement ramp, mention it. That's exactly the information the crew needs.

Photos help a great deal. A side view of the car and a close-up of the front bumper from ground level tell the crew more than a description does.

If the car has adjustable suspension, raise it to its highest setting before the day, and tell us you've done so.

Electric cars and some hybrids sit low because of the battery under the floor, and they're heavy for their size. If yours is one, say so, as it changes how the crew handles the loading.

And if any part of the body kit is loose, a skirt held on with tape or a lip that's cracked, fix it or remove it before the day. Loose trim is the part most likely to be caught by a strap or a ramp edge.

How a low car is loaded

The problem with a low car is the angle where the ramp meets the carrier deck. The crew plans the approach so the bumper clears that change in angle, and goes up slowly with someone watching the front from the side.

Once on the deck, the car is strapped at the wheels rather than the body, so nothing presses on painted panels, skirts or the splitter. It sits in its own space inside a closed carrier, where it can't shift.

Unloading is the same process in reverse, with the same care at the bottom of the ramp, where the front can dip as the rear wheels leave the deck. Someone stands at the side to watch the bumper all the way down.

Before anything happens, the car is photographed on every side, with close-ups of the lower edges of the bumpers and skirts, and the odometer is noted. Those are the areas most likely to be questioned later, so they're recorded most carefully.

Out of a Bellandur tower

The towers between the ORR and Bellandur lake have long, sometimes steep basement ramps of their own, and a few have speed breakers at the top that are hard on a low car even in daily use. A low car comes up those ramps under its own power, driven by you or by our team, to the gate or a visitor bay where the carrier can stand.

The stretch outside the gate matters too.

If your building's ramp is one you already take at an angle every day, tell us, and drive the car up yourself on the morning if you'd rather. You know where it catches. The crew takes over at the gate.

Some low cars come out of these basements more easily in reverse, with the rear end going up first. If that's how you usually do it, say so.

Either way, a carrier on a sloping or uneven road makes the ramp angle worse. We'll pick the flattest spot nearby, which is sometimes a short drive from the gate.

Bellandur societies are strict. Expect to need an owner NOC if you're a tenant, the carrier's registration number for the gate, and possibly a clearance from the association. Sort it a few days ahead.

Timing follows the ORR. Weekday mornings from about eight to eleven and evenings from five, the ring road and the Iblur junction crawl. Loading happens before that, or on a weekend morning.

Preparing the car

Run the fuel down. Empty the cabin and the boot, the glovebox and the door pockets. The crew takes one key, you keep the other, and the car stays locked throughout.

Take off anything that sticks out, a removable front number plate bracket that hangs low, a roof box, a rear bike carrier. Fold the mirrors.

If the car has a tilt or movement alarm, switch the sensor off or tell us how to set it. A car that alarms all the way to another city helps nobody.

Papers travel as photocopies, and the RC, policy and pollution certificate originals stay with you. If the car's modifications are recorded on the RC, as some are, that page should be in the copies.

Car transport from Bellandur to other cities

Cars leave Bellandur for every major city, and the ORR gives the carrier a choice of directions without crossing the centre. Eastbound trips set off quickly from here, and Hyderabad, Pune, Mumbai and Delhi NCR are all regular quotes, alongside plenty of smaller cities.

A low or modified car can travel on a shared carrier like any other, but some owners prefer a dedicated one so it's loaded and unloaded as few times as possible. That costs more, and we'll quote both.

A free video survey is normally enough, and the price comes in writing with GST. Cover for the journey is your choice, based on the car's declared value. Inside the city, the car goes and arrives on one day. For the flat itself, see the Bellandur packers page.
