Car Transport Services in KR Puram
Plenty of families in KR Puram have bought a car somewhere else. A relative in Chennai selling theirs, a good deal found online in Hyderabad, a car inherited from a parent in a small town. The car has been inspected there, the money has changed hands, and now it's hundreds of kilometres away from where it's needed.

InstantWhere are you moving?
Costs you nothing and there's no salesperson at the end of it.
The tempting options are to fly out and drive it back, or to ask the seller to find someone to drive it. Both put a long distance on a car you've only just bought. A carrier brings it to KR Puram without turning a wheel on the highway, and the condition it arrives in is the condition it left in.
Before the car leaves the seller
Finish the sale properly first, before anyone books a carrier. Payment made, a signed sale agreement with both names and the registration number, and the paperwork for the ownership transfer started. Transfers between buyer and seller go through the transport department, and they're far easier to start while the seller can still sign things in person.
For the trip, the car's envelope holds a photocopied registration certificate, photocopied identity cards for buyer and seller, and either the signed sale deed or a note from the seller confirming you've bought it. Those travel with the car, so anyone checking the carrier can see whose it is and why it's moving.
Make sure you have the original RC, all the keys, the service records and any warranty papers, or that the seller will post them to you. A car that arrives without its spare key or service book is a harder car to sell on later.
If the car is coming from another state and staying in Karnataka, re-registration will come up eventually. That's for you to sort with the transport department here, and the papers you've just collected are what it'll need.
Collection at the other end
Someone has to hand the car over in the seller's city. That's often the seller, sometimes a relative of yours who lives there. They need the key, the photocopies and to be there while the car is checked and photographed.
The crew photographs the car on every side and records the odometer before it's loaded. Ask whoever hands it over to send you those photos straight away, and compare them with what you saw at the inspection.
Ask the seller to leave the fuel low and to clear the car completely, glovebox, boot, seat pockets. You don't want to discover someone else's old parking tickets, or worse, their documents.
If the seller's street is too narrow for a carrier, the car is driven a short way to a wider road. That's planned at the survey, which we can do over a video call with the seller.
Arriving in KR Puram
KR Puram has two kinds of address. In the dense layouts behind Old Madras Road, most homes are independent houses and rented floors on lanes that a car carrier can't enter. In the apartment projects that have grown up around the area, there's usually a gate where it can stand.
For a layout address, the carrier stops on the nearest main road, and you drive the car the last stretch home. For an apartment, tell the society in advance and give them the carrier's details for the gate.
The one thing every crew here plans around is Tin Factory, where the Outer Ring Road meets Old Madras Road. It's one of the most clogged junctions in Bangalore, and a carrier delivering in KR Puram wants to cross it early or avoid it on the inner roads through Ramamurthy Nagar or Basavanapura.
When the car comes off the carrier, compare it with the pickup photos before you sign. It's your first proper look at the car on home ground.
Then check the insurance, which is the step buyers most often forget. If the policy is still in the seller's name, transfer or renew it before you drive the car on KR Puram's roads.
Why not just drive it?
If the car is coming from somewhere close, a few hours away, driving it back yourself is often fine. You'll be in the car anyway, and you'll learn how it drives.
From further away, the numbers change. Flights or trains to the seller's city, a long drive back, fuel, tolls, a night in a hotel, and a large number of kilometres added to a car you've just paid for. On a carrier, the car arrives with the odometer reading it left with.
And a car you've just bought is a car you don't yet know. Tyres, brakes and cooling all get their sternest test on a long highway drive, and finding a fault halfway home is the worst place to find it.
Having the car carried also means your own mechanic in Bangalore sees it before you put real distance on it.

The quote comes down to how far the car travels, sharing a carrier or having one reserved, and the size of the car. We do the survey free, frequently over video with the seller holding the phone, then send the total in writing with GST and an arrival window. Insurance for the journey is optional, priced on the value you put on the car.
