Car Transport Services in Koramangala

A lot of Koramangala's residents came from the north for a job, a startup or a posting, and stayed a few years. When the time comes to go back, to Delhi NCR, Kolkata or somewhere between, the car is usually coming too. It's the longest kind of car move we do from Bangalore, and it's worth doing with a bit of care.

Two things matter most on a long haul. The car should travel empty and locked, with nothing in the cabin that could shift, break or go missing. And you should plan around an honest delivery window rather than a hopeful date. Get both right and the car turns up as it left.

An empty, locked car

It's tempting to use the car as a suitcase on a long move, a few boxes on the back seat, the boot full of things that didn't fit in the truck. Please don't. On a carrier the car is checked, photographed and strapped as a car. Anything loose inside can shift and mark the interior, and the car's contents aren't part of its condition record.

So clear it completely. The boot, the glovebox, the door pockets, the space under the seats, the sunglasses holder. Take out documents especially, the RC, insurance and PUC originals, and keep them with you. The crew carries photocopies.

Remove the parking remote for your building, any society tag on the windscreen if your association wants it back, and the dashcam if it's a plug-in one. Keep your FASTag if you'll be driving on highways in the north.

Then lock it, and check every door. The car travels locked. Hand one key to the crew and keep the spare in your own bag.

Child seats are the one thing people ask about. Mention a fixed seat at booking, and take out any loose booster cushion. If in doubt, carry it with you, you'll need it the moment the car arrives anyway.

An honest delivery window

A car going to Delhi NCR or Kolkata from Bangalore covers a very long distance, and a carrier often collects and delivers other cars along the way. So rather than a single date, you get a stretch of days the car will arrive within, and we set it realistically when we quote.

If you need the car on a particular day, a dedicated carrier can be booked to leave on your date. It costs more than a shared one, and for some families with a fixed start date at a new job or school, it's worth it.

If the household is moving too, the goods truck and the car carrier have their own windows. We give you both at the start, so you can plan who receives what and when.

In the meantime, most families manage with cabs, the metro or a borrowed car for the first days. It's worth sorting that before you arrive.

Getting out of Koramangala

Koramangala's eight blocks are eight different loading problems. The leafy streets of 3rd Block often have room outside the old houses early in the morning. Blocks 5 and 6, with builder floors, PGs and cafes, lose their kerb space by mid-morning. The gated enclaves, National Games Village, Prestige St Johns Wood and Raheja Residency, have internal roads but rules about long vehicles at the gate.

Where the carrier can't wait outside, it parks on a bigger road close by, and the car goes to it with you or one of our team at the wheel. The condition check, photos on every side and the odometer, happens before the car leaves your gate.

For a long haul north, the carrier has the whole city to cross first, which is the slowest part of the trip. Loading at first light gets it onto the highway towards Hyderabad and beyond before the city's roads fill.

Tell your association about the carrier in advance, ideally a few days before. Some enclaves want its registration number for the gate.

Papers for the north

A car going to Delhi NCR or Kolkata crosses several states, and carriers can be checked along the way. The car carries a copy of its registration and of its owner's ID card for exactly that. If it's registered to someone else, a company or a family member, add their signed letter.

If the car is settling permanently in another state, re-registration comes up there eventually. The rules are set by that state's transport department, so ask once you've arrived, and keep the originals safe for it.

Update the address with your insurer before you leave, so next year's renewal reaches you in the north.

Where a company is paying, request an invoice that lists the car as its own item.

Car transport from Koramangala to other cities

Delhi NCR and Kolkata are the long ones, the trips where a carrier makes the most obvious sense. Hyderabad, Pune, Mumbai and Chennai are shorter and run often, and smaller cities can be arranged.

How far it's going sets most of the price, then the choice between riding with other cars or having a carrier to itself, then the car's dimensions. A survey, usually a video call, is free, and the quote arrives in writing with GST alongside the delivery window. Journey cover is optional, priced against what you say the car is worth, and over a distance like Bangalore to Delhi plenty of owners choose it.

Within the city, a car going to HSR, Indiranagar or anywhere else is handed back to you the same day. The household side of leaving Koramangala is on our packers page for the area.

If the posting that's ending was arranged by an employer, check what their relocation policy covers before you book. Some cover the car fully, some partly, and a few not at all.
