Car Transport Services in Whitefield

Whitefield sends more cars out of Bangalore than almost anywhere else in the city. Postings end, families head back north or east, and the car that did the ITPL commute for years needs to go too. Most of those cars live in the basements of large gated townships off Whitefield Main Road and Borewell Road.

The good news is that the bigger societies here are among the easiest places in Bangalore to load a car. Many have proper gate space, and some have a bay set aside for goods vehicles. The catch is that the bay has to be booked, the carrier needs a pass, and both are easier to arrange a week ahead than on the morning.

Booking the bay and the gate pass

Ask your facility office two things as soon as you have a date. Is there a loading bay or a stretch of internal road where a long vehicle can stand? And what does the society need from you for a car carrier to come to the gate?

Most will want the carrier's registration number in advance, a copy of your RC, and sometimes a form signed by the flat owner if you're a tenant. We'll send the vehicle details once the date is fixed so you can pass them on.

Some societies only allow goods vehicles in a window, often the morning or the early afternoon. If yours is afternoon-only, tell us at booking. We'd rather plan the day around the society's rule than argue with a facility manager at the gate.

The bay is usually shared with move-ins, furniture deliveries and other residents' trucks. Weekdays are quieter than Saturdays, and the middle of the month is quieter than the end.

Loading at the township gate

A car carrier is long, it needs headroom and it needs room to turn, so it doesn't go into a basement. Your car comes up from the parking level to the gate or the bay, driven by you or by one of our crew.

Before anything else, the car is photographed on all four sides with its existing marks, and the odometer reading is recorded. Walk round it with the crew and point out what you know about. The same check is repeated at delivery.

Then it goes up the ramps onto the carrier and is strapped at the wheels in its own bay, so it can't shift in transit. Because the carrier is closed on all sides, rain and road dust never reach the paint.

In the very largest townships, the walk from your tower to the gate is long enough that the car is simply driven round. If it doesn't start, tell us beforehand, because a non-runner has to be winched and that needs different equipment.

Getting the car ready

Bring the fuel down to a low level in the last week, as a near-empty tank is lighter and safer on the carrier. Take everything personal out of the cabin and the boot, documents, sunglasses, the parking tag, chargers and anything in the glovebox. The car travels locked.

Remove the township's RFID tag or sticker from the windscreen if the society wants it back, on the morning itself, once the car has been driven up to the gate for the last time. If you're keeping a FASTag for the highways in your new city, leave it where it is.

Tell us about anything unusual. A sensitive alarm that goes off when the car is strapped, a low front bumper, a dashcam you'd like left running or switched off. Small details, but they help the crew.

Keep the original RC, insurance and PUC with you. Photocopies are enough for the journey.

Car transport from Whitefield to other cities

Whitefield is on the eastern edge of the city, so a carrier heading for Chennai or anywhere east is on Old Madras Road and the highway quickly, without the cross-city crawl that cars from the south and west have to sit through. Hyderabad, Pune, Mumbai, Delhi NCR and Kolkata are all routes we quote, and smaller cities too.

Price depends on the route first, then whether the car shares a multi-car carrier or travels on a dedicated one, then its size. A hatchback takes less room than a large SUV. A shared bay is the affordable option. A dedicated carrier leaving on your chosen date costs more.

After the free survey you get a single written price with GST and a delivery window we can actually keep. Optional transit insurance is available on the value you declare, and on a long route it's worth considering.

If the household is moving too, the car and the goods travel on different vehicles. We line up the dates so it works as one plan, and the Whitefield packers page covers the household side.

Moving a car within Bangalore

Not every Whitefield car job is intercity. People move cars within the city when they've bought a second-hand car that shouldn't be driven before a service, when a car has been parked at a relative's place for months, or when moving day is already full and nobody has time to drive a second car across town.

Those are short jobs and priced as short ones. Within Bangalore, the car is collected and delivered the same day.

The same society rules apply at both ends. If the car is going to another township, ask that society about its bay and gate pass too.

A common Whitefield version of this is the move between two townships a few kilometres apart, a family upgrading from a rented flat to a bought one down Varthur Road or towards Hoodi. The household goes on the truck, and the second car, the one nobody has time to drive on the day, goes on the carrier.
