Car Transport Services in Yelahanka

A lot of families moving into Yelahanka are coming from the other side of the city, HSR, Whitefield or Electronic City, for a bigger home near the airport corridor. It's one of the longest runs inside Bangalore. And quite often there are two cars, and on moving day only one adult is free to drive.

The usual plan is for someone to drive one car up in the morning, get a cab back, and drive the second one up in the evening, after a day of packing. Nobody enjoys that. Sending the second car on a carrier, collected from the old address and delivered to the new one the same day, takes the whole problem away.

Why the second car is the problem

On moving day, the adults are needed in two places at once. Someone supervises the packing at the old flat. Someone has to be at the new society early, with the gate pass and the lift booking, before the truck arrives. That leaves no one to drive a second car across the city.

Driving it the day before means a day without a car at the old address. Driving it the day after means a return trip across Bangalore when you'd rather be unpacking. A carrier fits it into moving day itself.

It also helps when one of the cars is the one the family doesn't drive much, an older car, a parent's car, or one that's due a service. Nobody needs to risk it on a long cross-city run.

And if the household itself is going on our truck, the car can be booked as part of the same plan, with one call to arrange both.

There's the cab cost too. A driver who takes the first car up, cabs back across the city and drives the second up in the evening spends several hours and a good deal of money on taxis, on the most tiring day of the move.

Some families solve it with a friend or relative who drives the second car. That works if they're free and comfortable with the distance. If not, a carrier is less of an imposition on everyone.

Collection on the far side of the city

The car is collected at your old address, from a tower gate, a township's loading area or the road outside an independent house, wherever a car carrier can stand. It's photographed on every side, the odometer is noted, and it's loaded.

If the old society only allows goods vehicles at certain hours, the car's collection is planned around that, often alongside the household truck so the gate is booked once.

The carrier then crosses the city, usually by the ring roads and the airport corridor rather than through the centre. From the south or east, that's a long run, which is why it starts early. Whatever the traffic, it's a same-day job.

Leave the fuel low, empty the cabin and boot, and lock the car.

If the car is going to sit at the new address for a few days before anyone drives it, check where it can park safely in the new society, and whether the parking needs a sticker or a tag before it's allowed in. Keep one key yourself and hand the other to the crew.

Arriving in Yelahanka

New Town and the apartment projects around it are well planned, with wide roads that a long vehicle can use without trouble, which makes Yelahanka one of the easiest delivery ends in the city. The organised societies here will want the carrier's details for the gate, so give them to the facility office along with the truck's.

Be at the new society an hour before the carrier if you can, with your ID and the allotment or rental papers. Collect the gate pass, find out where a goods vehicle can stand, and check where your car will park. Send us a photo of the gate area if anything looks tight.

The car is unloaded at the gate, checked against the pickup photos, and driven to its parking spot. Compare carefully before you sign, even on a trip within the city.

If the new home is in old Yelahanka, on an established street, or in Judicial Layout or one of the government-quarters pockets with their own access rules, tell us at booking so we know what to expect at the gate.

Two cars, one carrier

If neither car has a free driver, both can travel. A carrier takes more than one car, and two cars from the same family to the same address are loaded and unloaded together.

Each car is photographed separately and gets its own condition record, so there's never any confusion about which mark belonged to which car.

Both cars go on one quote, worked out together rather than as two separate jobs.

If one car is a large SUV and the other a hatchback, mention both models. Carriers are priced on the space a car takes up.

Make sure both cars' keys are labelled, and that whoever receives them at the new address knows which parking slot is meant for which car. In a new society, slots are often allotted by number, and it's easy to get them the wrong way round.

Car transport from Yelahanka to other cities

Yelahanka also sends cars out of Bangalore. For the north, it's one of the best places in the city to start, with the highway towards Hyderabad just past the airport and no city to cross. Delhi NCR, Pune, Mumbai and Chennai are routes we quote as well.

There's no charge for the survey, by video or in person. The quote comes in writing with GST and, for intercity moves, an arrival window. Transit cover is optional and depends on the value you declare.

For the household itself, whether it's coming to Yelahanka or leaving, the Yelahanka packers page covers the move.
